In response to the opioid epidemic, Amy’s research will explore opioid overdose rates in Canada and aims to use predictive analytics to inform evidence-based policies and interventions. She hopes to incorporate harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles into solutions that improve the lives of people who struggle with addictions and their mental health. The effects of Covid-19 on overdose rates will also be examined.
